WP All Import Pro v3.2.2
In this article, we will look at how to speed up the creation and filling of the catalog of goods for an online store on WooCommerce by tens of times using the very convenient WP All Import plugin.
Import products into WooCommerce
In this article, we will talk about the indispensable, in my opinion, a plugin for online stores WP All Import. This plugin allows you to import goods from CSV and XML files, which can significantly speed up the catalog filling in the online store. Those. Instead of manually creating and registering information for several thousand products. You can unload from a table, for example, Excel or in an XML file, and import all the information about several thousand products directly into WooCommerce, and this dramatically speeds up the work of filling and editing the catalog of the online store. Let’s look at an example.
Now I am importing an XML file for external affiliate products. WP All Import can work with all types of products supported by WooCommerce, i.e., these are simple products, variable, external affiliate, and downloadable virtual products.
WP All Import allows you to select from a file selectively. For example, if my file contains various types of products, such as armchairs, sofas, cabinets, etc., then I can use filters to select precisely the kind of products that I need (those products that I want to import into this moment).
Suppose I want to import only leather chairs. To do this, select the following elements in the Filters field: category = contains = “leather chairs” (the category heading contains “leather chairs”) and then click on the Add rule button, and then click on the Apply Filters button (apply filters). After that, you will see that nine elements satisfy the value of this filter, i.e., My XML file contains nine items in the leather armchairs category. If desired, I can assign several filters, for example, leather chairs for less than 20,000, and the color of the material is red (if this value is contained in the parameters). This method allows you to configure flexible rules and make a selection only for those products that we need.
Description of products in the catalog
Then, if, for example, we need to import only leather chairs, we click the Next button. WP All Import shows us the following window where we can fill out preliminary product information. Fill in the title. I want my claim to be composed of several fields. Let it be the product prefix and the model, separated by a dash. You can add any number of characters. In the description field, I will transfer the description of the goods. Here you can click the Preview button (preview) and see how the information about our product will look. You can see that the name formed from the prefix (Leather armchair) and the model name (Bristol), and the product description immediately presented. If it suits me, then I can click Next.
Import products and their settings
WP All Import supports the import of any information from CSV and XML files in principle into WordPress. In other words, I can import information such as posts, pages, WooCommerce products, orders, forms, portfolios, sliders. In this case, I’m interested in importing to the WooCommerce catalog, so I select the WooCommerce Products bookmark, then I begin to generate information about my product. Here you can choose when to import. Those. If I want all the goods that I import now to be published immediately, then I indicate the date of the publication now (now).
If you import several thousand products at once and don’t want them all to appear immediately in the catalog for reasons that the search engine may not understand correctly – suddenly, 10 thousand pages appear on the new site at one time. You can specify the dates, during which the publication of your products planned. For example, if I want to publish these products in the catalog, starting today and ending with the end of November, then I indicate in the calendar the dates when I want them to be published.
WP All Import will automatically distribute products by time, between the years I selected. Here you can also choose the status of the post, i.e., you can choose to have the goods published now, publish as drafts, you can also enable or disable comments. You can also select the status of the post, i.e., you can choose to have the goods published now, publish as drafts, you can also enable or disable comments. Here you can also select the status of the post, i.e., you can choose to have the goods published now, publish as drafts, you can also enable or disable comments.
Next, we move on to the basic properties of the product. In our case, it will be an external affiliate product. If desired, you can fill out the article number, or you can leave it blank. So, if you do not assign anything to this field, then WooCommerce will automatically generate an arbitrary article. If you work with an external partner product, then it doesn’t matter what the product code will be. And in order not to bother with this, you can leave this field empty.
In the product link field, we indicate a link to an external affiliate product. In the “Button Text” field (text of the button), you can configure the text that will display on the button – it can be “more” or “add to cart.” In this case, I’ll write the text “add to cart.” In the Price field (Regular Price (rubles)), we drag and drop data from the corresponding fields of our CSV or XML file. WP All Import will automatically display information according to the criteria that you set in the filter section. In my case, these are nine armchairs, which located under the heading “Leather armchairs.”
